i have a purpose built small home studio, instruments, sample library, umx49 controller keyboard and a host of other gear to get my sound on the pc. I use FL Studio as my main sequencer and Cubase SX 3 as my main mixer, with the Waves Renaissance and Sonnox Oxford EQ packages to EQ. My interface is a Lexicon OMEGA D/A, a Shure SM57 and Axis-1 Condenser mic through the Lexicon's two mic pre-amps, with a LEEM micro mixer to split one of the 4 TRS ins from 1 to 4. I use a Les Paul Standard guitar through a Fender Frontman 212R 100-watt amp, with a BOSS CS-3 Compressor, BOSS MT-2 Metal Zone, BOSS DD-3 Digital Delay, Jim Dunlop Wah and a ProCo Turbo Rat Distortion pedals. As i said, my main sequencer is FL Studio 8 XXL which i compile my backing drums and percussion, i use the Behringer UMX49 controller to record my synthesised basslines. I pre-mix in FL Studio and export the tracks out into Cubase SX3 which i then EQ and add FX to individual tracks as they call for it. Once i'm done there i record my guitar over the top [if any at all].
