I was born in London Ontario, Canada in 1979. I moved to Windsor Ontario, Canada in 1984, where shortly after I immersed myself in music.
Learning multiple instruments, spanning a plethora of genres, I moved through piano, drums, to brass and woodwinds, strings, and finally, with the purchase of my first laptop and gear in 1998, I delved into the depths of Electronic Music and Sound Production.
My style was a mixture of Detroit techno, with some European influence. I first started producing techno in 1998. Having not pressed or backed up any of my tracks, I suffered a massive hard drive failure in the summer of 2001, losing all of my work and samples. Probably for the best. From 2001 to 2004 there was an obvious break in production, and in 2005 I started working on music production once more.

The album "brb, techno..." was released in the 4th quarter of 2005 (and now is on the album "Boeko: 2005-2006"). In 2006 I was amazed to see my self title album "Boeko" take shape, and was released that year (also on the "Boeko: 2005-2006" album). Both those albums were heavily influenced by the Detroit Techno scene I was experiencing, living right across the ditch from the Motor City.
I have since moved to the Pacific Northwest, setting down near Portland OR, USA. I released the album "Polar" in the first quarter of 2007, just after my move. My Wife was a major influence in the creation of this album, as well as the new surroundings of Oregon I was taking in.

Later on that year, I plucked my album "Supplemental" out of the collective consciousness. This album shifted to a more Deep House feel, but still with the signature Boeko Detroit Techno undertones. This album was released in the 4th quarter of 2007. My Wife again, was a huge influence and support in this album, as well as all of my Music production.

For my latest completed album "Beta", I had shifted my style to a more minimalist / ambient sound. This was released in mid 2008. This was mainly influenced by my removal from the detroit techno scene, and salt and peppered by winter seasonal depression.
I took yet another Hiatus from writing during the summer months mainly due to lack of inspiration, and the discovery of sport kiting.

As for 2009: I changed my name to JoneZ, and have re-birthed myself in body, mind and spirit.
I have started working on my newest album "Untitled", and have completed a beta track called "Forsight", which is released on last.fm under my new name "JoneZ". This track has a similar feel to the "Supplemental" album, but more advanced and a tad more melodic. I don't know when exactly this album will be finished, but for every track I complete, it will be thrown up on this site.

Every EP has been a different style thus far, spanning ambient/experimental IDM, acid-techno, Detroit-techno, to deep/tech-house, and will probably continue to span the genres as time goes on. The result is the same: A fat beat, intelligent, emotional collection of tracks.

Thanks to all the people, places and things of immense beauty in this world that support me in my music creation.

A special thank you goes out to my Wife. Without her support and encouragement with my music, and my Life in general, I wouldn't be the person I am today. Thank you Babe.
