Yup, I agree. This place seems to be rather devoid of punters at the moment (and has been for a while). Cassimo was eluding to the same thing a few weeks ago.

Look, I've not been on the site as much as I used to / should / would like to be / etc..., so I'm ready to admit that I've contributed to the downfall (for lack of a better term) as well. I've noticed a few people commenting that they've bailed cos the music (mixes and tracks) isn't what they like. Too techy, minimal, not housey / vocal enough or whatever. I think this is a shame because this is supposed to be a site dedicated to the whole electronic dance music scene - underground, even. And, yes, I totally agree with you that this was (still is?) a very good little community which had a lot of positive people and constructive critiques which at the very least brought people listening enjoyment, if not inspiration, and motivation. I can only hope that this is a temporary lull in the action, and that people start to come back / regain interest.

Durden, I appreciate your music, and wholly apologise for not commenting on it. Like I said, I guess I've been a bit slack as well. Well, no more! I, for one, will make a concerted effort to listen and review every thing put up on here, as well as keep in touch with those on my friends list (what's the point of having friends if you never talk to them? - go to myspace if you just want to have a "friends numbers" contest).

Mr. Summer - perhaps your suggestion of posting contributions as a forum topic is a good idea. Maybe it will create more response, but then again, there already is a capacity to review / comment on contributions as posted, so it's really down to the motivation of the people in general - so who knows....

By the way, you are an absolute mixing freak! (in a good way, that is). You should serve as an inspiration to all to get mixes posted (myself included) -and yes, I can see all of you rolling your eyes and thinking yeah...right, McB! When are you going to put something up? Well, I'm a big lazy turd who deserves to be belittled and derided regarding my lack of contributions. This I know. But my intentions are good, honest! In any case - and to defend my verbal self-abuse - I'm just picky about small errors in my sets, and I guess that's keeping me from posting.

I'm having a bit of a self-realisation moment here. I've been too "do as I say, not-as-I do" and hereby vow to change that. This is a good site, and it would be a real shame to see it fall by the wayside.

Hi there. Thanks for taking the time to write something just for say "hey, I see you".. I was listening a few singles and commenting bout production and all stuffin the song.

I'm not at home but i'll be uploading a few singles (in my syle) and remixes I have done and if someone listen this new music I will be specting a comment or something.

It's nice to have a community with people working in the same areas of you... I do music as a hobbie but is nice to talk with producers or djs or remixers... everyone have an opinion and is an accurate opinion..... musicians opinions... I love those, hahaha....
