Im looking out an unglazed window right now -- the first sunny day in what seems like 8 months, thinking about why I havent been able to keep up on this site. Got no good reason honestly, I just havent been active on the net at all lately. I think it might have something to do with the 6 months of straight rain we get in the upper PNW... No excuse for my absense regardless, and Im sorry. Im only going to commit myself to being a casual poster here, and everywhere else on the net, so I dont feel so damn bad everytime I post anywhere.
But, Im still around, and still kicking,, still getting married (saving for the wedding), still working (well, sorta -- painting gets slow in the Winter, but the electric bills get higher...), not writing so much.. The weather has slowly started to get more tolerable (no rain and some sun), and I managed to pull a couple tracks out of my arse (Zeed and Frewre). they're up on my myspace page at the moment, but I'll be uploading them here when I get them finalized.
Small story? Sure.
I bought one of those exercise balls - you know the ones,, big bright coloured ball for working out on? Yeah, those -- found one for $10 at this outlet store. I thought "Hey, Im getting fatter, so why not shed some of it this spring?". We bought it.
I blew it up, and now it still sits in the corner of our apartment, being used for anything BUT an exercise ball.
Chair? yeah.
Oversized boucy ball? yup, that too.
A "day after a lunar eclipse" disasterball? mmhmm -- I was running late for work one morning, os I was feeling rushed. I was heading out the door, when my car alarm goes off (for no reason). so I turned around, back into the house to look out the window at my jeep and see what the hell tripped my alarm, when I tripped over the ball instead. I kinda lost my temper, and side kicked the ball. Well,, it flew into our bookcase (located infront of a bay window), which shook a small statue off the top and it fell behind the bookcase, breaking the window pane on its way down...
All the while Im still running late for work, and my boss is downstairs waiting for me.
20 minutes of cleanup, all the while thinking of how my day was going to go after this.
I get downstairs, and into the work van, and the second song I hear is "Bad Moon Rising"...
