Takin' a stab at Deep House...

.... Thought I would try it out. Well, actually, something bumped into my head over the weekend while I was camping, and Im forming something together as we speak, so I thought I would post this while Im writing, maybe get a little undiscovered inspiration and feedback.
What does Deep House mean to you? From the Music, to what synths/pads, to progression, to everything deep house.
Be as elaborate as possible, if you could.

.. but the main attribute I think is that it should keep ticking along. i.e. not have too many long breakdowns. Most only have one and build up slightly towards the end. The overall sound/structure should be consistent, I think.
The other thing I would say is important, is a fairly upbeat, bouncy bass line and/or hook with a not too thumpy kick. .. oh and don't be too shy with warm luscious pads...

...warm luscious pads..... *drools*
Thanks for the input. I've got a draft uploaded to the site already, but am going to reupload another edit today sometime after I make a few alterations (mainly to the length of the track, and the kick, which is a little too punchy for my liking, so its funny that you said that about the kicks. heh)
I might do something with the high-toned synth as well, Im not too happy with the direction it takes the track overall.

i think the term 'deep house' is throw around all too loosely these days. i hate when people change a genre like this and want to make it theirs*.everyone has a 'deep house' or 'deep soulful house' or 'deep electro' or some shit sub sub genre mix or track or remix or CD or party. i think its bullshit! deep house is deep house. its NOT electro. its pretty far from soulful. its NOT 'fun'. its definately NOT poppy. it has minimal vocals, its not uptempo and doesnt have much going on. it doesnt make you happy or throw your hands around. its a little haunting and flows smoothly. there is not much variation in anything. its 'stiring' for lack of a better word. im kind of thing 'son of dragon' by liquid people, dang that a good track! thats proper deep house!
i hope you have some of this going on Boeko, i would love to hear some REAL deep house without it being added to another genre. just remember, deep house is deep house, dont tack it onto something else.
*for example, 'electro'. real freaking electro is NOT played on a ministry of sound CD. its NOT played my teeny boppers at an under 18's. its NOT played at your normal house party. REAL electro WAS played by felix da housecat and was dynamic and varied.

I grew up around Detroit Michigan USA, right across the border in Windsor Ontario Canada, so Im no fool to the house scene. None of those sub genres even existed when I was growing up listening to Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, and Felix. Shit, I can remember electronic consisting of like 5 genres. Thats it!.
I want to stick to just the fundamentals of Deep house. Thus the reason for this post. I find that when I try out producing a new genre, I have a tendency to bleed whatever genre I was working on prior, into the track I'm working on at present. And I think that might be the case for a lot of producers, and thus, the 'cluttered-as-all-hell' genre listings. Doesn't mean I like it, but I accept (as unfortunate as it is) that this is what electronic music has evolved into.
I can agree to some extent that the whole sub-genre of electronic has been blown way out of proportion, yet ultimately, it is what it is.
Check out the draft I produced (link above), and let me know what you all think.
