Hey well my name is Gareth Nevin and i am from Townsville (QLD, Australia). I am 18 and have have been making techno and remixing for about a year. I've come a long way since then.
At the moment i am No. 3 in Australia on Myspace for unsigned artists, Number 1 in techno, Number 1 in club, and number 2 in hiphop... i get about 2500 plays a day on that site!

I make remixes as a way of perfecting my music production skills. This gives me a chance to make my own music and then practice working vocals into it. Once I feel that i have learned enough i will move onto producing my own stuff. I already make alot of originals but i feel like there is alot of room for improvement in terms of production skills to get more clarity into my mixes (why is compression and EQing so complicated!!).

Anyway i have signed up to this site to get some tips and improve my producing skills. I dont DJ but i am taking it up very soon because i need a way of playing my stuff live!
