Davide Iaione - Live @ [The Box] Sydney 12-06-2009
Hi Everyone
I'm so sorry about my long time absent, just this morning I received ADSL so now It will be more easy for me to keep on touch!
So....about this live set....This is my first set in a Club in Australia I don't hide that I was a little bit nervous
but in the end people liked it.
This set is subdivided in 2 part : first part Minimal techno tunes and BPM second part likes Luciano, Marco Carola sets.....techno with happy sounds and effect used in key point.
I hope you everybody will like
Thanks
Davide

Wow Davide, that was epic! Had to listen to it in 2 sections being so long. I enjoyed most of this set which showcased your individual take on the minimal/tech sound. Some really funky/bouncy tracks in there with a splash of dirt and darkness thrown in just like your other mixes. There were a couple of tunes in there that didn't really do much for me but on the whole this was a solid mix. This would have been great to hear live in 'The Box'! You must have quite a large collection of minimal - all your mixes are quite long but still manage to retain my interest at the same time.
Well done again!

Yeah man "epic" is the word. Would have loved to been there. Beautiful flow of tracks and a steady progression well mixed and I know the crowd would have received it with pleasure. Would be great if next time you could have a recording from somewhere in the venue with crowd noise and their reactions that you could post mix with the mixers output to give it a real live feel.
At times the minimal didn't translate as well through headphones (I downloaded it to listen to on my daily commute) but I got the picture loud and clear. Loved the Night of the Jaguar remix to finish. Classic tune. Great way to end.
Always look forward to your mixes Davide. The Box was lucky to have you grace their booth.
Peace in the middle east.............. Rhys.

Heyyo nice to meet you, Im Daniel from Adelaide, new to this website and happy to be a part of it. Right now havin a quick listen to ur mix. Am enjoying listening to some well mixed minimal here. Am more of a detroit techno fan, but also dabble in the minimal side of things myself. Hope we can share eachothers opinions and mixes in the future. Hope all is well!

Hi Audiosonic
welcome in this big family, since the first day I've signed up I was happy to know people than share this passion and leave feedback, put live and new tracks.
I try to improve day by day discovering new sounds and "movements" without leave the "minimal road"
I'll glad to share opinions and whatsoever.
Thanks again

hey davide, good to see you back mate.
I had a listen to this today at work and it was quite enjoyable, it definately has that davide flair to it and had a really smooth flow to it which i have come to expect from you. The first 45 minutes started with some dark distubed minimal which had a really nice steady build to it but i agree with you that the middle section could have done with some re-arranging to make it more focused. The end was also really nice and flowing but it was just lacking that little bit of something to take it into that next level for me, just my opinion though which is completly subjective.
What was the timeslot you played if i can ask?
Eagerly awaiting the next instalment dude
Peace

so honestly me too prefer the first part, but while I was playing I saw crowd so much crazy "they wanted more power" so for the end I played little bit out of my style.
but usually I play more like first part.
