i left lengthy comments, but they seemed to have been swallowed up by the leviathan of the interweb.
i love old skool hardcore / happy hardcore from back in the day (sy, seduction, vibes, slipmatt, hixxy etc) i miss the vibe of old tunes like 'discoland' by tinytot or 'heart of gold' by force & styles. but in the early 2000s when sharkey decided to do the whole 'hardcore trance fusion' ting it just went downhill big time. i can't hack 1hr of it anymore that's for sure.. in fact dare i say that i prefer a small dose of gabba every so often - at least wiv deathchant recs / dj producer the tracks are technically amazing.
subjective opinion aside (as that's not much use to you is it) here's some technical pointers:
there's not much room for error when you're mixing 4x4 @ 200+bpm - this means that any beats out of sync stand out immensely. also try working the vibe more by having lots of cinematic/atmospheric in your build ups, this will give ur drops even more impact.
keep at it buddy!
