hey all

well its been a while since my last mix

many reasons for that but one of the mains is that i have soo many tunes that its really hard to keep up and select what i want to play
because i want to play them all..

so there was a lot of chopping and changing here, from 15 tunes down to 12 then back up to 14 then down again then up etc etc

id say the mix is fairly smooth, as always there might be one or 2 spots where it might be slightly off, but maybe thats just my ears
would be good to know what you guys think.

after all the shit i went through to get the right tracks im quite happy with this one and enjoyed mixing it

well enjoy!

tracklisting:

Martin Buttrich - Enough Love To Hate It (original mix)
Nhar -Dante (original mix)

'Epic' is the only word to describe this mix.

Each tune has such depth and substance, but the way in which they are ordered and mixed together just showed such mastery and class. Whilst the first few tunes were top shelf, they were not necessarily my cup of tea. However, I saw their purpose once the mix really took off later on. By starting out the way you did, the early tunes really set the scene for the rest of the set. The peaktime tunes really stood up and demanded to be noticed - more so than if you hadn't been patient with setting the scene.

Its all about the journey and this set delivered.

I really liked the reggae/dub sounding breakdown at 58 min mark - that was sweet! And the second and third last tunes were definitely the highlight for me.

This one deserves to be in the hall of fame for sure.

EPIC...now thats a review i never expected!

good to hear that you enjoyed all my tunes and that my track selection and mixing was up to your high standards Smiling
i do try with all my mixes to set a tone, get some nice easy flowing tunes then start building up.

the tune at 58min mark is Beckers and Hatfield - Mind Rape (quivver remix)
to be honest i was very resistant to use this tune, i ended up choosing it because it mixed in so well with the track before and sounded good with the tune following...but at first i wasnt convinced...
but after listening to my mix a couple of times now i can see that it was a very good fit for the mix.

hall of fame!...now thats what i like to hear Smiling

thanks for the excellent review, good to hear somebody enjoys my mixing Smiling

going to start working on a new mix hopefully tonight
watch this space!

Brilliant Mazu 5 stars !!!
One of the best mixes I've heard on here - had all the hallmarks of a classic fishn mix, but as this is you djing I could hear that the presentation was less complex, which in many ways was refreshing!
This is definitely my favourite Mazu mix -
What I liked most, well where do I start??
The opening was hanuting and eerie, yet somehow warming especially when the kick came in - really intelligent and well thought out opening - and then it was into some deep techno, which is my favourite kind, then deep prog house - perfect sounds for winter!!

Really mature sounds, top quality, can't say enough good stuff about this mix Mazu - definitely a hall of famer- a piece to be proud of, and if this is just a sample of what's now in your collection, then may I profess that many world-class house djs would be inspired by what you are producing...

Mazu, the music maketh the man! Well done!

Excellent mix mazu!

Although not my own personal taste, I found the tunes and progression of the mix interesting and mentally stimulating. Thats something that I don't come across very often.

All in all a very well deserved 5 stars from me mate !
