mazu - BTE Sessions 07 - Back In The Mix And Out Your Speakers
im back!
after months without my decks, the 900's finally arrived and i just recorded my first mix
i think its pretty decent, i think a couple of the mixes might be slightly off, and i think i botched the last mix...but hey..after 4 months of doing nothing im pretty happy with it.
plus im still getting used to the feel of the 900's
here is the tracklisting
Kabuto and Koji - i got lost downtown (mobius strum bumps into k k remix)
Oliver Klein and Martin Eyerer - dish of the day (Gorge remix)
Yousef - come home
Steve Bug - look whos stalking
Guy Gerber - the hollywood in you
Tone Depth - rumblefish (Maher Daniel remix)
7th Key - butterflies in my room
Alex Santos and Chris Woodward - village vanguard (Chris Woodward stripped back edit)
M.A.N.D.Y vs Booka Shade - Donut (original mix)
Green Falkner - Satisfaction (16 Bit Lolitas remix)
Bomb The Bass - XRAY eyes (John Tejada remix)
this mix varies a bit from my previous stuff..
theres a more techy feel to this one, but ive tried to keep that element of quality progressive.
well you be the judge, and im looking forward to all your feedback and thoughts, good or bad....its the only way i can improve
enjoy!

Mazu I REALLY dig you style mate!
Such a nice and cruisey vibe throughout that would be equally at home taking a back seat role late at night in a 'loungey' type bar or in a big club with a pumping system. Really nice subtle tribal elements in some of the tracks too. This one would definitely had me stuck to the dance floor throughout.
I might have to check out some of your older releases now!

Hey Mazu,
This is wicked in both senses of the word... Spacecadet and Push d Button have some stiff competition here as the best deep house dj on this site.
It's really great again to hear a dj play full 12" mixes right throughout, in fact all the best djs on this site do just that! One thing it gives you, especially when mixing this deep house style is space, and that is so critical when performing this genre
(HOWEVER, WHERE IS THE CREDIT TO DEEP HOUSE!!??)
I listened closely to most parts of your mixing (which was very impressive I might add), and heard a few slight errors the first of which came between Oliver Klein and Yousef, but this is not harsh judgement and really I'm clutching at straws in an attempt to show you how intently I listened to this mix...
Awesome track selection, and its great to hear Steve Bug still producing gems (albeit a remix), this one is a true keeper... Don't change what you are doing, and go hunting further in the deep house buckets please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it
i didnt even notice i made an error between oliver klein and yousef..hehe

i reckon if i was to play at a club nobody would even notice....mainly cause everybody is so off their face
makes me wonder how many small mistakes pro djs actually make.
well im glad you enjoyed this mix!
thanks again

Loved this mix, especially the part with M.A.N.D.Y vs Booka Shade - Donut (original mix) in it.
