The only common thing around the song is techno... sounds, beats, beeps... but the song is very boring, I don't find the sense of doing this... 10 seconds by genre... and then you change to another thing... the song doesn't have meaning, doesn't have a start, a theme, a final cut, anything.. Is like you get a bunch of demos and put it togheter at the same bpm. Give me a loopgalaxy dvd of different styles and I will do something much better programming a batch script in audition to get file after file and paste it one after another to do a 18 min mix...
Everything, included a mix have it's meaning, and its way, a destiny... your not... there's no cohesion...
If you do a mix, then think in the state of mind of the people who listens... after 18 min of hearing that the people think "What the hell????" Because you don't take the people into a trip, you only run 50 meters and then you change the car and run another 50 meters and again: "get down of that car!" and so on and the trip is very annoying.
Again, I don't know what do you wanted to do with this....

Hey Dude,
Just had a quick listen to this mix and while I don't think it's too bad, I have to agree with Durden in that it seems a bit too monotonous re: the base line / riff. It just goes on too long throughout the mix.
You've got some good sounds in there, but there's just not enough variation in the mix as a whole (like has been pointed out: you need to try to put yourself in the listeners' heads - lead them somewhere).
I'm not sure how you put this together (technically), but I would suggest your next edit should focus on varying the bottom end a bit (ie: different base riffs and drum loops). Have a listen to some mixes in the genre(s) you like (have a look through the forums on here...), keeping an ear out for how the different tracks are put together to create a flow, and hence keep the listener, well, listening.
Don't be disheartened by the critiques. The people on this site all love electronic music in many forms, and want to support each others works whatever they may be. We're not here to dump on people's efforts for the sake of it.
I look forward to your next mix...

i have to agree with the bulk of the criticism here but would like to add that the actual production sound itself was promising, just a little ambitious to try to flesh out that amount of time without variation on the basic content. please dont be disheartened as i can see that everyone has simply added to the conversation with the soul intention of aiding you in future efforts. i wouldnt say to you to mimic anyone else but it may do you well to put sometime in on the dancefloor and take note of what the dj/performer/musician or artist does that catches you and those around you move or feel something.
