Loving the bootyshaking bass on this one, all the percussion is nice and tight, the arrangement is spot on and it has a nice old skool chicago house vibe with plenty funk. Id love to hear a 320kbps version though i dont think the 160kbps version does it justice.

Really good tune. Had a good level of funk to it and good structure. there was one sound that i found a bit full on at about 5:50 but that could be that the down to the mp3 thing. Maybe if all the other frequencies were at full quality it wouldn't sound so loud if you know what i mean. Found the kick to be a bit sharp for a funky sounding tune but enjoyed the tune. Nice work.

I thought the vibe was pretty cool. Overall though for a track this long I found it to be a little repetitive. The breakdowns were really effective with a nice combination of quirky sounds but then once it kicked back in, it just kind of kept plodding along - all the while I was left waiting for something to happen.
The arrangement was good and I liked the percussion too.
Not sure where your head is at with this one, or what you intentions for it are, but to me it sounds like a really good 'work in progress' - if you know what I mean?

jimothyo thanx for the listen. The full on sound your referring to does need some refining I'm just not sure how to do it yet. Stay tuned for an update.
Dan, it's great that you enjoyed it, your one of the dj's I had in mind when making it as your take on house is right up my alley. The whole Chicago feel is exactly where it was coming from. Would love to hear one of my tracks sneaking into a set of yours one day.
Q, I understand it doesn't do too much just chugs along but to be honest thats sort of what the aim was. It's intended to be more of a dj tool than a stand alone track, something you can blend and chop into more tracks of a similar vibe, leaving it to the dj to create the peaks. As all my tunes are works in progress so far don't be surprised if I rework it, but at this stage it would be more on the mixdown side of things I would change.
