Let Me Take You on a Trip
This was the first track I produced...I really can't put a genre label on it though! Any help with that would be appreciated....some have described it as an almost progressive hardstyle? Name of the track is Let Me Take You on a Trip.

Hey mate, had a gander at this, and let me start by saying I dont normally listen to this style so what I have to say is on a personal level..
Ha made it sound like I was going to something bad hey.... I would probably call it a cross between Prog and Trance and Hard style. The breakdown in the middle was nice and used to great effect. The part after didnt grab me at all, the kick was too grindy and sounded very different to the start. There is a synth coming in in the first half that I think could work better in stereo as opposed to mono and maybe thicken the kick a bit.. As I said its all personal taste and I believe in giving honest feedback.
Cheers

When I saw your comment against my Danny Tenaglia mix, I had to have a listen to yours...
Firstly, where did you get the name for the track from?? Celeda perhaps??? Listen to track 6 of my mix again, would be better if you used that sample and produced another killer prog track (in fact I think you were about 8 when Celeda's track was produced so that can't be where you got the name from...
It's a bit rough, especially the back half, but it's good to see you are producing, so I gotta give you cred for that. And I too am a pianist so use those musicianship skills in your producing, melodies are the key!

Yeah I didn't take it from
Yeah I didn't take it from Celeda....I just imagined a very trippy twilight zone when I hear the progression when it breaks down into the middle to be frank....a good mutual pianists ;p Yeah I'm going to upload another track which has a bit of a classical contemporary progression to it

Ok let me set it straight as to what genre this is .. wack it up to 132-135bpm and it's Psy-trance.. That's the speed I think this track should be.
The production is pretty good man .. bottom end seems all there. Mixing levels pretty good .. Not bad at all for a first track ...!

yeah i know that's what I
yeah i know that's what I was thinking but I don't want it to be that fast a tempo really...so I don't know....but then again it is 130 bpm so not far off the 132-135 mark i guess?
