Mississippi Delta Soul 2010
This track is based around the rhythm giutar riff. I really wanted this to sound funkier though I'm fairly happy with the way this is shaping up. Still needs a lot of work.
Needs a retro vocal sample to tie it all together.
Any suggestions to which direction you think the track should take would be much appreciated, Thanks

I reckon laying a vocal over the guitar riff throughout this track will certainly add the clarity required to fill this track out.
On specifics (this may alter the structure you have slightly - I'm just working off the time):
0:23 - don't bring in the drums and add the vocal
0.38 - bring in the bassline and drums
1:10 - drop the guitar riff, before the keyboards get going, and the breakdown occurs @ 1.26
1:26 - 3:38 = is perfect well done, lots of funk and groove here
Very well done indeed.. a little tweek and finding that vocal will work for ya - I'm thinking definately a male vocal, perhaps snippets from a rap may work, which are repeated in sequence...

Thanks for listening &
Thanks for listening & commenting JC, always appreciated.
I have found (one of) the perfect sample(s) to go with this, & yes it's from a rap. Will hopefully find some time to work on it in the not too distant future.

I have one in mind but haven't laid it down yet. I am cautious about relying on unsolicited samples for demo recordings. If you get your work published & need to get clearance for the samples it can cut into your earnings a lot. I have started about 10 other originals since this one but will come back & rework it at some point.
Thanks for the listen & commenting Tonez.
