Xen
Ambient/electro-breaks track i wrote many years ago released under my psynapse moniker, inspired by the Xen alien level in Half-Life.
Track often went down well as a set opener - i figured people didn't know what to expect so why not keep them guessing what the track is going to do next

Yeah it drags you in from the start and then when the beats kick in at about the 2 min mark ...
I see what you mean about this being a good set-opener, it builds like a skyscraper.

I can defo see this working well as a set opener, its the way the drums just crash in that did it for me even though they seemed a little too loud and crunchy. Your right it did keep me guessing and was surprised at a few points but I was a little disappointed when the end came and not much had actually happened. I suppose if its an intro track, the second track would have jumped in to surprise us before the end. Overall not totally my cup of tea but the idea of keeping the audience guessing is one I like and will have to use in more of my productions
