I don't know how you can mix sitting down... LOL! get yourself one of those work benchs from Bunnings. Perfect height, stable and strong.

As for the mix, I could not really tell much from the popping sounds from the camera mic and lack of audio quality... Sticking out tongue But from what I could see you were doing everything right! Laughing out loud

Good work.

I used to love mixing sitting down. Beats when crew have the decks facing a wall any day. Thought your friends dancin' man re-entry was gold and his unbridled enthusiasm for the Slam track is classic. Post more like this Luke.

Haha - it is actually quite

Haha - it is actually quite enjoyable mixing sitting down. But as you probably noticed for the moments that required a bit more focus, I had to stand up.

Glad you enjoyed it Rhys and would be happy to post more... I've got another 2 videos like this but, unfortunately, my friend's camera doesn't pick up loud freqs very well and the bassline 'pops' a lot.

My mate Waldo would be chuffed that you admire his 'dancing man'... I knew about his love for Slam which is why I dropped it. Slam's style is also very similar to Popof and Umek (two of my favorite tech artists) so there's always a strong possibility it will be played.

Smiling

I should smile more when being recorded. I don't look like I'm enjoying myself at all!

Hehe, nice one luke... Most

Hehe, nice one luke... Most techno heads don't often smile when listening (let alone djing) to techno - I suspect this is typically because tech heads are so focussed on the music - It is an intense style after all - I wouldn't call techno "light and fluffy" now, would you ?

'Spose it's one of the reasons why I'm more addicted to house

BTW - Slam are one of the first techno acts I got into in the 90s - "Positive Education" - what a classic anthem!
Glasgows finest, and the co-founders of the Soma Label, and still producing quality I see...

Yeah man and are still

Yeah man and are still producing great track to this day. I still play the original of Positive Education to this day. Plus I've heard Krabe drop a Wighonmy Bros. remix of This World on here amongst a few other Slam slammers. Slam, Funk D'Void, Samuel L Session, Recycled Loops, Dave Angel, all those still get me going and add that extra flavor to a modern mix without sounding "retro" or like a tribute. Just with a little extra analog warmth. Talking 90's techno does anyone remember Space DJ's?
